Stacey's Day

A while back I asked Stacey how she would like to celebrate her upcoming birthday. Without a thought she replied, "I'd like to spend the entire day scrapbooking at your house." So I planned a day for her sister, cousins and I to spend the day scrapbooking, cropping, card making or whatever, at my house. I set out food and set up my family room for our cropping spaces and we spent the entire day doing just that.

Stacey's two sons (my grandsons) came along and were great. I had left just enough room so that they could play around the train table and when they wanted to go out back, I turned on their Elmo sprinkler and set up some shade around their climber. Stacey was able to complete most of what she hoped to scrapbook and the rest of us had fun working on our projects. We had way too many "goodies" to munch on so the left overs were sent home with Stacey.

Living relatively close to my family makes it so easy to gather and spend time together. I can't imagine how life would be without them. Children and grandchildren sure make life worth all the struggles and challenges that we face in our lifetime. I cannot think of a greater reward than the hug and affection of my grandchildren. I don't know who enjoyed Stacey's birthday celebration more, me or Stacey?

I had Kristie take a look at my creation and she made some good suggestions. I made the changes and this is what it looks like now. Here is my new business card with the LTz designs on it. I hope you all like it as much as I do!

All's quiet...for now.

Sabrina is adapting well to her new home and I've enjoyed the pleasure of having her so near to where I live and work. Mommy and Daddy have been very generous by letting me stop in almost every day since she's been home. Today I have my two grandsons, and both have a cold so we are staying away.

This is always such a wonderful time for me; the days I have my two boys! DJ is growing much to quickly and seems to be losing that "baby" boy in him. He's always such a treat to have over because there is always something new I discover about him. He's too bright for Grandma, that's for sure. His little brother Riley is also growing up too fast. Riley is still a cuddle bug and he still let's me rock him when he's tired. He's a pistol and loves to be mimic his older brother. Riley has a personality all his own, and charming as every. I guess they get that from there Mommy.

While they napped today (can you believe they are down at the same time? I should be napping too) I was busy trying to create a new business card with my LifeTimez software program. Actually, it was with another program but importing the designs from LifeTimez. As my friend Kristie will attest to, I'm not much of a techie when it comes to computers. Maybe you shouldn't ask her, I'm not sure what she'd say when it comes to my computer skills, or lack of them. So, I created a new card but I haven't been able to figure out how to save it so that I can share it for comments from my CC partners. If only Kristie lived next door.....she'd probably not answer the door. :)

If I can ever figure it out, I'll post it here for your comments too.

Waiting for Baby!

Well, my oldest is in the hospital waiting for her baby to decide to make it's entrance. This little baby has kept us in the dark as to whether it's a boy or a girl, and the suspence just continues...

Great Little Scrapbook Store....

Today I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners of a local scrapbook store called Chino Scrapbook Company. Nora, the co-owner, gave me a tour of the store and their class rooms. Nora invited me to become one of their instructors and we will be working on selecting projects and a schedule.

The Chino Scrapbook Company has now become the location for the Chino/Montclair & Friends MeetUp group. Our first MeetUp will be Saturday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. I will also use their class rooms from time to time, for my TLC group. So keep tabs on what's coming up. Be sure to check out their website at www.chinoscrapbookcompany.com

Five Weeks of Hard Work Pays Off!

Five weeks ago Julie Berg (Jules as we call her) told me I need to get ready to promote to Director with TLC before May 31st because she had a plan that include the Creative Commotion team (Jules, Julie, Kristie and me). I wasn't sure I could do it but with her plan, support and constant ability to keep me focused I got there. Julie Fackler and Kristie Lippert were also a big help not to mention the added inspiration to keep trying harder. Jan Pepe was always there to offer advice and support. You can't ask for a better Team Leader. How could I not succeed with such a strong team of women behind me? What make this even better?

Well, I had the pleasure of making this leap side by side Julie and Kristie (Jules qualified a week before us but close enough for us to feel we did it together!!!! Friday evening we all celebrated via Yahoo Instant Messenger. Since we are located in three different states, many miles apart, it was the next best thing and it was a riot. We each had our celebratory chocolate treats and we laughed and joked for a over an hour. I think Julie's husband thought we were crazy, but it was fun.

Along with my promotion to Director came Corianna and Stacey's promotion to Advisor. How wonderful to see them promote the same week too! This was a sweet week for all of us.

My Creative Commotions sisters (Jules, Julie and Kristie) are fired up and can't wait to tackle our next challenge. Yes, Jules had more plans and lists for us. So keep watching and jump on board because we have some fun things going this summer!
WOOHOO, I did it!
